Located in the heart of Provence, Château d'Esclans produces some of the world's most popular Provence AOC rosé wines. Whispering Angel is made from grapes sourced from among the finest vineyards in the Esclans Valley and the nearby Cotes de Provence region. At a lower elevation in the vineyards, the vines are 10 to 12 years old and planted in clay and gravel soils.
A low temperature is used to de-stem and lightly crush the grapes in order to prevent oxidation. Bâtonnage, the process of stirring up the lees at the end of vinification, adds body to the wine while preserving its fruitiness.
