Kronenbourg 1664 Premium Lager 24 x 440ml 4.5% ABV cans
Kronenbourg 1664 is a golden pale lager with an alcohol content of 5.5% in continental Europe and 4.5 in the UK. Master brewer Geronimus Hatt first brewed it in 1664 at Canon Brewery in Alsace, France. Today, the recipe is still used as it was back then.
Heineken owns and produces Kronenbourg 1664 in the UK after purchasing it from Scottish & Newcastle. Officially, the Carlsberg Group still owns and brews Kronenbourg in other markets. Strisselspalt hops, indigenous to Alsace, are used in the brewing process to give the beer its bitter and fragrant citrus taste.
